運輸及物流局長陳美寶10月1日到高鐵西九龍站視察，表示當日有120對列車抵港，預計客流超過13萬人次；又指酒店及零售業界提供優惠套餐，希望吸引更多廣東省自駕遊旅客於黃金周來港消費。旅遊業議會預計黃金周過夜旅客約佔五成，平均逗留兩至三晚，旺區酒店首三日預訂率逾九成。Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Chan Mei-bao, inspected the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station on October 1, stating that 120 train pairs would arrive in Hong Kong that day, with an expected passenger flow of over 130,000. She also mentioned that the hotel and retail sectors are offering special packages in hopes of attracting more self-driving tourists from Guangdong Province to spend in Hong Kong during the Golden Week. The Tourism Council expects overnight visitors during Golden Week to account for about 50% of the total, with an average stay of two to three nights, and hotel bookings in prime districts to exceed 90% for the first three days.

【香港中通社一日電】香港特區政府多位司局長今日落區參加活動或消費、視察，與市民遊客分享國慶喜悅。
香港財政司司長陳茂波當日在參加升旗儀式後，到老字號港式茶餐廳吃早餐、在灣仔利東街欣賞一班小學生的中樂表演，到中環海濱跟市民和遊客交流。
陳茂波表示，十月一日香港有很多優惠，包括超過二千間食肆、多項交通、購物、文化娛樂的不同折扣，大家齊齊消費、同賀國慶。
香港政務司司長陳國基則來到沙田馬場，出席“國慶賽馬日”開幕儀式並頒發“國慶盃”。他表示，很高興見到不少市民和遊客享用馬場免費入場優惠，並以七七折享用指定餐飲食品，樂在其中，正好體現全城同賀國慶的喜悅。
香港政務司副司長卓永興出席國慶升旗儀式和酒會後，與財政司副司長黃偉綸一同到灣仔一家茶餐廳，以全單七折的優惠價享用港式早餐。卓永興表示，在優惠活動下，餐廳人流不絕。今年有超過三千八百間食肆在國慶日提供餐飲優惠，呼籲市民把握優惠，外出用餐。
他亦指，國家的繁榮穩定，就是香港發展的堅強後盾。香港背靠強大祖國，得天獨厚，要堅定篤行、團結奮進，發揮好內聯外通的優勢，在實現自身更好發展的同時，發展經濟、提升民生福祉，不斷開創更加璀璨的未來。

Officials go to the community to spend and celebrate with the people
