Yields on government bonds in Europe and the United States continued to rise, with the yield on the UK's 30-year government bond reaching 6% for the first time since 1998. The yield on France's 10-year government bond reached the highest level since July 2002, at 4.96%, rising 10 basis points during intraday trading.
The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury rose to 5.33%, hitting a new high since 2002. The yield on the 30-year U.S. Treasury rose to 5.677%, continuing its new high since 2002, rising for eight consecutive days.
